Max PC Privacy is easy to use and has a colorful and interesting user interface. However, non–techies may have slight difficulty understanding some of the different terms because they are not defined or simplified for novice computer users.

This software is easy to install and set up. Max PC Privacy works only with Windows XP, 2000, and 98.

Privacy Effectiveness:  

Max PC Privacy allows you to specify which items you want to clear from your computer. It comes with 88 different plug–ins and supports most browser and email plug–ins as well. It scans your computer for the specified files, and then allows you to secure the delete for maximum security. You can opt to run in high performance mode which will clean out both the file and directory structures where hidden information may remain.

Feature Set:  

Max PC Privacy contains many features including stealth mode, preview mode without deletion, and spyware detection. It is one of the few products that clean MS Office history. It also supports most browsers and has individual sections for you to choose how to clean each of them. You can customize your clean by specifying certain files and folders for Max PC Privacy to zap.

Help/Documentation:  

The help documentation is adequate. However, Max PC has a slight disadvantage in its technical support compared with the number one product Evidence Eliminator. The only way to contact them is through an email form.

Max PC Privacy is a great software package containing all the plug–ins, features, and effectiveness desired in privacy software. It allows for custom cleaning of all your computer files.
